‘Secondary school ‘improving rapidly’

Ofsted reported that The Bourne Academy is on its way to becoming a good school and said strong leadership has driven improvement from ‘an exceptionally low base.’  Quality of teaching, behaviour, safety of pupils, leadership and management were all ranked Good.  However, the overall grade was ‘requires improvement’ because the ‘achievement by the end of key stage 4 had not been good enough.  This is because the Academy has had to deal with the history of low achievement in the school, which it replaced
