‘Academy is raising the bar on standards’

The inspectors observed lessons and met with staff, students and the Principal and concluded ‘the Academy has made good progress towards raising standards’.  Students attitudes and behaviour have improved very dramatically in the first year, students reported a sharp decline in bullying and appreciate the strong stupport they receive from their tutors and Heads of House.

Ofsted also praised the commitment of teachers, detailed lesson planning, the range of courses offered and the way in which pupils are cared for and concluded that the Principal is widely respected by staff and students and has brought energy, vision and clear sense of direction to the Academy.
