ACE (after school) Activities

Although examination results are important, the Academy’s enrichment programme aims to stimulate and encourage independent thinking and creativity. Learning is a journey, involving making decisions and making mistakes. It is also the discovery of new ideas and new answers.

There are many opportunities to participate in a wide range of extra curricular activities and here at the Academy, these sessions (known as ACE) are open to Years 7-9 students, Tuesdays to Fridays 3.00pm to 4.00pm.  Years 10 and 11 students take part in Additional Learning.

There are so many stimulating sporting, academic and artistic ACE activities on offer that students can always find something of interest.  ACE sessions result in increased confidence, good teamwork and co-operation which in turn bring real benefits to overall achievement.
