Since opening the new 6th Form in September 2013, results have consistently shown 100% of students achieving a grade A*-E each year.  All students gained a place at their choice of University or College, with one opting for an apprenticeship.

Particular congratulations to the following students:

  • Tristan Apperley for securing a place at the University of Liverpool to study Music
  • Harvey Binstead for securing a place at the University of South Wales to study International Wildlife Conservation
  • Ashley Saunders and Nathan Nolan-Meharg to study Criminology and Leah Christopher to study Law - all at Portsmouth University
  • Bonne-Rae Lambourne to study Dance and Wiktor Skwarczynski to study Film Production, both at Arts University Bournemouth
  • Kaine Ellis for securing a higher apprenticeship in Outdoor Adventure Instruction at Land & Wave

Mark Avoth, Principal, said ‘We are so delighted with these results.  They build on the successes of the last two years and we are immensely proud of our students.   We are particularly proud of the subjects where we have seen 100% pass rate A*- C, namely Art, Biology, History and Photography.  Also this year, we have seen our best ever EPQ results up to and including A*.  This fantastic set of results is proof of what can be achieved with the combination of students, teachers, parents/carers, all working together to reach the same aims.

Kelly Franklin, Head of Sixth Form said ‘I am absolutely over the moon that all of our Year 13 students who have applied to university have secured an offer at their choice of university . Today at the ‘Results Collection’ it was fabulous to see that all of our leavers were so pleased and proud of their achievements and future plans.  This is testament to all the hard work of the students and staff that have supported them over the past two years.  I feel very proud of this young, but successful 6th Form. We continue to go from ‘strength to strength’.
