Salary – Leadership Scale
You should be the type of person who likes a challenge, believes in their own abilities, wants to a make a real difference to the lives of others and has a real passion for the subjects that fall under the Humanities umbrella.
We want to continue to appoint teaching staff who are passionate about their subject and who want to make a difference for the students in our care. We require a Head of Humanities, with either Geography, RS or Criminology as the main subject, (although you will be teaching across the HU subjects) for January 2023. This post is a permanent, full time, post.
We want all our students to love humanities subjects and so we are recruiting an enthusiastic Head of Humanities to lead and to bring even more ideas and energy to our department. The post would suit an experienced teacher looking to make their mark. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across the Key Stages, including our highly successful sixth form if appropriate.
The Humanities Department has a wealth of resources and has passionate and outstanding teachers within the team.
Teaching and learning is high on the agenda at The Bourne Academy and staff are actively encouraged to constantly develop, experiment and reflect on their practice.
