Work Experience

All Year 10 students are required to complete a one-week work experience placement as part of our careers programme. This is a valuable opportunity to develop employability skills, gain an insight into the workplace, and explore further career options.

Finding a placement

We encourage students to start looking for a placement as early as possible. Employers across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole receive a high number of requests each year, so applying early gives students the best chance of securing a placement.

Students are encouraged to use their own contacts, including family, friends, and local employers, or to approach businesses directly by email, phone, or letter.

Logging your placement on Unifrog

Once an employer has agreed to offer a placement, it must be submitted through Unifrog using the students school login.

Simply enter the employer's details and a parent/carer's email address. Unifrog will then send the necessary forms to the employer and parent/carer for completion. Once everything has been received, the school will review and approve the placement.

If you need support using the placement tool, Unifrog provides a helpful guide and video tutorial: The Placements Tool - Help - Placement - Unifrog
