Support for Parents/Carers

Research shows that Parents/Carers have the biggest influence over their children when it comes to career planning. 

You are welcome to attend your child's appointment with the career team if your child would like you to. With your child's consent, we will share their action plan following a meeting with the careers advisors in school (whether you attend the appointment or not).

We have several opportunities to learn more about your child's options, including the following sessiosn during Parent/Teacher Consultation (PTC) Evenings:

• Year 10 work experience information
• Post-16 options (during Year 11 PTC)

We email a weekly careers newsletter to all parents/carers, which includes Labour Market Information and local opportunities.

The careers team attend every Parent/Teacher Consultation throughout the academic year, so please pop along to see us there too.
