Year 12- Get Prepared

Use Year 12 to build strong foundations for your future by:

  • Gaining work experience and developing employability skills.
  • Updating your CV and cover letter.
  • Exploring university courses and attend open days.
  • Explore careers and apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Researching subjects that interest you beyond the classroom.
  • Setting up accounts for Find an Apprenticeship and LinkedIn.
  • Working towards strong mock exam results to support your predicted grades.

Year 13- Start Applying

Use Year 13 to put your plans into action by:

  • Completing your UCAS application early.
  • Appyling for apprenticeships and tracking new vacancies.
  • Continuing to gain work experience where possible.
  • Developing a strong personal statement and preparing for interviews.
  • Achieving the grades needed for your chosen university, apprenticeship or employment pathway.
