‘Bourne again’

The ’incredible transformation in one of the biggest changes in education in Bournemouth’.

The Bourne Academy were once again highlighted in The Echo.  Journalist, Jane Reader, interviewed staff, students and a parent about their thoughts on the Academy and later spoke with Principal, Jackie Steel.  In order to judge achievement in schools across the UK, the government compares them with similar schools in other parts of the country.  The Bourne Academy is in a group of 55 schools, for such comparisons and has recently been placed sixth for the levels of progress made by the students.  A huge jump of 40 places on the previous year.
