MiSST 10th Anniversary Concert - Theatre Royal

Students from The Bourne Academy dazzled audiences in London when they performed on stage alongside Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Jason Donovan.

Six talents violinists and flutists from Bourne Academy had the privilege of performing at Theatre Royal in Drury Lane as part of a musical education programme.

The concert celebrated the tenth anniversary of MiSST, a programme developed with Andrew Lloyd Webber, which runs in secondary schools nationwide and enables all students in years seven through to nine learn a classical instrument. School in Christchurch (Image:)

The concert included music by classical, jazz and film composers, including a selection of music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, who joined the students on stage along with Jason Donovan for the finale performance of ‘Any Dream Will Do’ from the musical Joseph, under a shower of rainbow confetti.

The Bourne Academy was the first School in the region to be chosen for the MiSST programme in October 2021.
