Mr Mastrocola wins School Award

Mr Mastrocola, Teacher of Music at the Academy won 'Secondary Teacher of the Year' in the Daily Echo School Awards.

At the beginning of the year, the general public were asked by the Daily Echo to nominate those who make their local schools special in the 'School Awards 2016' More than 700 nominations were cast and the three judges had the difficult task to whittle them down to only three in each of the nine categories.

Many described their favorite teacher as 'an inspiration' and an 'outstanding teacher and mentor' and we are very proud to announce that our very own Teacher of Music, Mr Mastrocola, won his category and is now officially 'Secondary Teacher of the Year'.

The nominees and their schools attended a sparkling awards ceremony where over 200 people packed in to Bournemouth's Cumberland Hotel.  The nominees and colleagues across Dorset and Hampshire enjoyed a champagne reception and gala dinner, before watching the presentations to those who have gone the extra mile and ensure that youngsters get the best possible start in life. for the benefit of children in their schools.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MR MASTROCOLA.
