General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - Our commitment to data security and protection
The General Data Protection Regulation, known as GDPR, aims to strengthen and standardise the safety and security of all data held within an organisation, reflecting changes in technology and the ways in which employers collect information about data subjects.
The new Data Protection Act 2018 replaces the Data Protection Act 1998 and has cemented the principles of the GDPR into UK law.
It is important to us that all Academy data subjects know we take data privacy seriously. To ensure everyone understands how we handle personal data and how we will meet our GDPR obligations, we would like to share the following documents with you:
- GDPR Glossary of Terms
- Data Protection Policy
- Data Subject Access Request Procedure
- Privacy Notice for Parents and Students
- Privacy Notice for Employees
If you have any queries or wish to contact us regarding GDPR, please email us on dataprotection@thebourneacademy.com
