As part of this outstanding team, you will be responsible for teaching and planning challenging lessons that ensure the progress of all students. The twin specialisms of English and Engineering & Design mean that we place literacy and numeracy at the heart of all we do. The department is supported by an experienced a Director of English, along with coordinators of KS3, KS4 and KS5 . The English team are passionate about their subject and this is reflected is their lessons. Outstanding NQT support is available for those new to the teaching profession.

Teacher of Mathematics (Maternity Cover)
We want all our students to love maths like we do and so we are recruiting an enthusiastic teacher of mathematics to bring even more ideas and energy to our department. The post would suit an experienced mathematics teacher looking to make their mark, or an NQT. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across the Key Stages, including our highly successful sixth form if appropriate. Part time/Full time hours available.
Teaching and learning is high on the agenda at The Bourne Academy and staff are actively encouraged to constantly develop, experiment and reflect on their practice. Access to high quality in-house CPD as well as the opportunity to gain a bursary towards further studies is available.
